Odour-Free Pits! It works!
Instead of using deodorant after a shower, I've been trying a smidgen of coconut oil followed by a very light dusting of baking soda. After a full day at work with wet pits, NO SMELL. Yeehaw! :D
Have you heard of magnesium oil? I get mine from swansonvitamins.com -- they have the best price I've seen, and it's got the "Zechstein Inside" logo so you know it's the real deal and is good quality.
I also spray it on my toothbrush and use it to brush my teeth. Very, very strong -- but it seems to work great. My teeth always feel nice and glossy after I brush with it, and I've heard good things from other people about using it as well. To each his own :D
I just like it for the convenience factor -- as a deodorant -- a few sprays under the arms -- as a cleaner for the teeth (I prefer it over toothpaste and soap, though I wouldn't dismiss either of those...watch me say this stuff is fantastic, as my teeth are rotting >_<), as a treatment for acne, and sometimes I add a few sprays to my drinking water to get some extra magnesium. The bottle says it's for external use only, but what the hell, you know.
XD
I also love coconut oil, though!! Have you heard of Tropical Traditions? I know I've mentioned some places here but I'm not affiliated with any of them -- I just think they have really good products too, and I got some virgin coconut oil from them a year or two ago and absolutely love it.
Isn't it amazing how these products all are multi-purpose? Food, hygiene, oral care (I was using coconut oil and baking soda as a homemade toothpaste for a while, and that did work well). I love it.
Thanks for sharing, though, yes! I never thought of using coconut oil and baking soda as a deodorant. I'll definitely have to keep this in mind. I just get excited sometimes and talk a little too much X) thanks again
Hey thanks for the comment and the suggestions! I have not read/heard anything about magnesium oil but I will look into it.
I just recently started using Tom's Natural fluoride-free toothpaste because I ran out of Arm & Hammer. I want to start making my own after this tube is done. It's been less than a week and I can see and feel plaque forming on my teeth. Not good! (I brush twice a day.)
The virgin coconut oil I bought is called Organika. Right now I'm not using it for anything other than cooking. As soon as my deodorant stick runs out I'll fill it with a homemade deodorant per the following recipe:
